HAIDA WILD REBRAND
The Haida Enterprise Corporation purchased a small mom and pop seafood processor that had thrived locally on Haida Gwaii for twenty years. The challenge was to rebrand the company as a premium seafood brand that would attract a wider commercial audience while still reflecting Haida cultural values. The logo was designed in collaboration with Haida Artist, Tyson Brown, in order to strike a balance between traditional Haida art form and solid design principles.

DEVELOPING KEY VISUALS
In order to be perceived as a premium brand, the key visuals and photography had to be unique. When consulting with the client, I urged them to considered original product photography as a way of communicating the brand’s quality and essence. I was given a limited budget and worked with professional photographer, Christian Arias-Carrasco in a make-shift studio in my apartment. We had limited resources and had to be creative with props and lighting techniques. It was a great learning experience experimenting with food photography and styling.
